Cominceremo parlando dell'agata e approfondendo le proprietà di questa bellissima pietra, per chi non l'avesse ancora capito l'Agata è una pietra che entrambe amiamo molto, probabilmente per la varietà di colori con cui si presenta, è una pietra molto versatile in bigiotteria e si presta a molti abbinamenti.
Cristallizza nel sistema trigonale e appartiene alla famiglia dei quarzi, generalmente si presenta con un colore grigio poco appariscente ma non disdegna di mostrarsi con colori bellissimi e vivaci.
E' un calcedonio e come tale presenta bande di colore a zone contrastanti e si presta molto alle tinture.
Effetto magico: Si dice che chi la indossi possa vedere ogni incantesimo e non possa subire alcun maleficio con le erbe (fonte: lapidario estense)
Dona potere, coraggio, longevità, propensione al giardinaggio (il famoso pollice verde), richiama l'amore, la guarigione e la protezione.
